Instruction or Destruction
The prophet Jeremiah writes that a name of God is the Lord our Righteousness. All who put faith in Christ will be made righteous. All who believe in the sacrifice of Christ will be saved by faith, freed from both the penalty and the power of sin. They will become one with God. We are justified by His righteousness, and sanctified by His Spirit. Do not take back your surrendered life and become your own power. Sometimes God puts us in a place of power to test us. God exalted Joseph, but he remained a humble servant. He never let his authority disrupt his relationship with God. How do we handle the places of authority that God has given us? We must obey the Word of God and flee from temptation! Forgiveness of sins is found by faith. Our righteousness is established as we do His will. Only He can change us. We must treasure God above everything and then we will lack nothing. We cannot ignore the purposes of God. We must not lose sight of the past; if we do God will remind us of our captivity until we call out to Him. The Christian must remember all God has done for them and remain absolutely humble before Him. God must be our greatest treasure, or He will bring us into captivity until we call upon Him. The prophet Jeremiah feels the weight of God and His holy words. He takes the Lord seriously and believes God’s Word to be true. He looked for holiness and righteousness and could not find it. Either we obey the Lord’s instruction or face destruction. We must love our fellow men and identify with the ministry, service, and suffering of Christ. Are you hearing the voice of God? Are you burdened for the lost world around you? It is either instruction or destruction.
