Going the Second Mile With God

As one desires to be a disciple of Jesus Christ and draws nearer and nearer to God they will become partakers of the divine nature. As one learns to love as God loves the work will be done in the believer unto perfection where there is not one part of the life of the believer that remains defective or deficient. The higher doctrines of Christianity could only be understood and appreciated by those who are advanced in the Christian experience. To be perfect is to be mature. Perfection is when believers walk daily by faith working out their own salvation. The person does not waiver because God reigns in them supremely. When a person reaches a crisis point in their life and they place all of their will into following Christ God will give the person all they need to continue on in faithfulness. God gives to us all we need to survive spiritually. While a disciple remains faithful to God we will always have His perfection at work in us, always! But all believers daily face the dangers of living amongst the enemies of the cross. Christians are strangers in the world and must be careful to not let nerves drive them to become impulsive and inconsistent. Christians are to identify with Jesus Christ. This takes place when a person cares more about doing the will of God than their own will and serving Jesus out of love and not out of self-interest! A disciple must also receive Christ’s instruction. Many in the Church today do not do this. Most of the Church is faithless, powerless, and unreliable. God must be first in your life for there to be any power! You must be willing to go the second mile with God.
