The Lord's Hand Is Not Shortened That It Cannot Save
The prophet Isaiah is speaking to a people who have heard the Word of the Lord but they do not repent. If there is repentance there will be forgiveness. God can save through Jesus Christ! Those who are righteous will be saved. All in Christ must watch and pray that they would be righteous and worthy. Many scoffers will come in the last days, many will go astray, and many will rebel! Do not be deceived by any of them. God came to save the poor and the broken-hearted. Jesus Christ reigns on high, He has defeated death, and He is coming again to bring judgment on the earth. Those who are His will be ready when He comes, but many will turn the grace of God into lewdness and be lovers of self instead. The Lord’s hand is not short that it cannot save. The problem is not God’s shortcoming, but our uprising against Him. The Tree of Knowledge has replace God. This has led to broken fellowship with God, self-sovereignty, and false knowledge. The only hope is to be sorrowful for sin and repent. Works cannot reconcile a people who are living in sin. A savior has to come from the outside. But to receive the Savior a person must act on Truth. All Christians are called to be a light in the world. Our salvation is not in ourselves, our hope is in Christ alone. The only way the destruction of sin will be reversed is by living out our testimony on the earth and looking with faith toward the return of Christ. As Christians we are called to preach repentance, baptize, teach obedience and provide instruction. Only the Lord saves and has the ability to do so. His arm is not short but the people will not repent. Will you repent today?
