You Are Coming With Me

All true saints must have a broken heart and contrite spirit. We read of how King David sinned against God. He admitted that there was no excuse for his sin. He had insulted God with his pride and selfishness. There must be a desire to turn away from sin with full regret and remorse. In a similar way we see how Moses rebelled against the command of God in the wilderness. He struck the rock instead of speaking to it. In order for the saint to be prepared heaven we must be sanctified. In a place of not loving anything in this world more than God. The source of this comes from having a broken spirit and contrite heart. The Apostle Paul is also seen in a similar place. He entered the rest of God, he no longer sought to be saved by his works. Everything about his life was based upon the resurrection of Christ. Paul sought for the Lord to be glorified in all that he did, but he suffered! All saints suffer because they live in the world. There are many that are opposed to the religion of Christ. All Christians will fail unless they allow the Holy Spirit to continue to make them more like Jesus Christ as they suffer for His sake. This suffering will remove all personal ambitions and individuality. God has enabled all to live in unbroken fellowship with Him because of His love. We can either live for the Lord’s purpose or our own pleasure. Anytime one puts their purposes before God they transgress. To serve both God and mammon is not possible. We must trade everything for the excellence of the knowledge of Jesus Christ! God must be our greatest love, and this is only maintained by faith.
