The Signs of His Coming
The New Testament makes it clear that just before the Lord returns many will depart from the faith to doctrines of demons. Both Peter and Paul speak of many who will corrupt the Church in the last days. When God came to the first Church in the person of Jesus Christ He declared there would be an end to the corrupt religious system. The Jewish people had become hypocrites. They were puppets of a foreign power, the Temple was corrupted, and God had departed from the Temple but they did not even know it. The days of the second coming of Christ will be the same. The Church will be filled with reprobates and non-believers. It will be an evil generation. Many will be religious but not believe the Gospel. People will fill the pews but will be wicked and far away from God. The preachers who speak will exchange the Holiness of God for false doctrines. When Christ speaks of how He will suffer many things and be rejected this this generation He is speaking of the last generation. The Christian Church will reject Him and fall away. Throughout the ages God has used prophets and apostles to reconcile the world to Himself and bring an end to human sinfulness, but many reject His offer of eternal life. Those who choose to obey God are justified by faith and they love His law and delight to do His will. The Gospel is a transforming message, those who go on in Christ will be changed in this life, they will live as if Christ is true, and true belief results in holy love, fear of God, and surrender. To have faith is to believe God is true and to obey Him. America and what calls itself the Church within must repent. To believe is to act, to be ready, because at any time the Lord may return.
