To Reveal His Son In Me

In this passage the Apostle Paul is warning the Church of Galatia about the enemies of the cross. He is reminding them of the truths of what repentance really means. One who truly repents is one who is awakened to a true understanding of the holiness of God and cannot do anything but bow before Him in reverence realizing that God is greater than them. Repentance is only possible through the grace of God that works within, God does the work from the inside. It is God who does the work in the life of the believer, there is nothing God will not do to bring His people into heaven. All who are Christ’s are called to “put to death” the deeds of the body, anything that is unlike Christ. All Christians are also called to die to the world and sin, which is only possible through the power of the Holy Spirit. As one puts to death these things and walks in daily obedience to God the mind of Christ is formed. God desires truth in the inward parts, His ways must become our ways. All Christians will face trials because the old must be torn down to make way for the new. Don’t give up! The Christians in Galatia that Paul is speaking to had not allowed the grace of God to continue and they had moved away from their first love. All Disciples of Christ must keep His word, remain faithful, and remain consecrated to Him in order to enter heaven. Developmental obedience will lead the Christian to holiness, God does the work within as believers faithfully carry the cross. The Church of Galatia had started well but turned away from God, and now Paul calls them to repent. All must continue to bear their cross and remain obedient to Jesus Christ. Do not turn away as the Church of Galatia did.
