Put On the New Man Which Was Created According to God

The Gospel is the “Good News” of the new life that is offered in Christ. This new life delivers one from mental folly, self-indulgence, lusts, impurity, and sin. The Gospel of Jesus Christ was the only hope for the Pagan world of the Apostle Paul’s day, and it is the only hope for the Pagan world today. Just as in Paul’s day the modern world has had its understanding darkened because of a refusal to obey the Gospel of God. The only hope for people lost in this darkness is to have an encounter with God and be transformed by the Holy Spirit. Only then can a person have a wise mind and come to the true knowledge of God. Christ came to restore mankind into His image, and the Holy Spirit does this work as one lives in obedience to Him. But this process only begins after one has been born again. True Christians are witnesses of the power and victory of Christ that begins with repentance. Before this people are ignorant and their eyes are closed to the Truth. Christ turns people from darkness to light, from sin to holiness! But in order for this work to take place one must turn completely from sin to God, renouncing the strength of sin, and allowing Christ to bind the strong man of the sinful nature so He can reign within. Tragically, many refuse to obey the Gospel. In order to follow Christ it begins with a desire within the individual which leads them to renounce themselves, and embrace the conditions that God has given through His covenant. What follows is a path following Christ and to surrender all to Him. May the Gospel go forth with power so the eyes of the lost will be opened to the power and victory found in the blood of Jesus Christ.
