The Cure For a Poisoned Mind

The source of so many of the problems that plague humankind is the mind. The human mind is stunted and hindered in understanding the things of God. The human mind has been poisoned by sin, and God offers a way for the mind of the fallen human race to be restored. It is the will of God for all to come to repentance and in the act of repentance recovery of the entire person begins. The newly regenerated believer must trust in Christ and see that Christ can restore even the human mind that has been poisoned by sin. But not all receive the Gospel when they hear it. Some would rather seek other ways to find recovery. The Gospel calls all to die and give up the right to self. Those who have the most to lose will typically resist the most, their pride keeps them from the cross. Pride is the primary reason that the minds of humans have been poisoned. It was pride that Satan displayed before he was cast out of heaven, he wanted to be like God and he rebelled against Him. This is the same sin of Adam in the Garden, he exalted a created object above God and was cast out of the Garden, his mind poisoned by idolatry. God is opposed to the proud but gives grace to the humble. It is those who are humble and have faith in the power of Christ that will be completely healed, their souls, minds, and hearts, for those that refuse there is no hope of healing. Each one faces a choice. Will you turn to this world to heal your mind or will you turn to Christ? One must make a decision, you can choose the way of Lucifer and Adam or the way of Christ. This choice begins with repentance and continues in a walk with Christ and leads to a complete restoration of heart, soul, and mind.
