The Kingdom of God

In these verses Christ makes it clear that the Kingdom of God does not come through the flesh, through human efforts, human skill, strength, energy, or performance. Many desire to seize the Kingdom of God through violence, but it does not come by force, but by faith. No one can make themselves love God, no one can force themselves to obey His commandments. In order to do these things one must be born again, one must be willing to repent and reach the end of themselves. Those who continue to live by their own morality and live according to the flesh will be condemned. Christ also speaks in these verses of the deterioration of things in His absence. There will be an increase in deception and falsehood in the last days. He warns all not chase after those who claim that He is here or there, if one desires to see Christ they will see Him when He lives within. To see the Kingdom of God is to know Christ, to suffer as Christ did, to be poured out for Him, walking in fellowship and seeking holiness. Only by living this way will believers be able to discern between what is true and what is not in these last days. In addition to an inward reality the Kingdom of Heaven is also a physical place as well. And Christ makes it clear that only those that have repented of their sins and are living by faith in Him will be able to enter. Tragically much of the Church of today has rejected this message and have instead done the work of promoting sin instead of Christ. Do not let anyone deceive you! Jesus is coming soon to judge a world that has rejected His offer of salvation. May all believers allow the Holy Spirit to establish the Kingdom of Heaven within them in these last days.
