Perfect Love Is Always the Revelation of God's Will Being Done
John Wesley described perfect love as, “salvation from all sin, where the love of God fills the heart of man.” Sin has been the problem since the Garden of Eden. It is was not the humanity of Adam that God condemned, but his sin. Adam had a choice, and he chose not to obey God and his sin has spread through the entire human race. In the wake of his fall men became afraid of God and the heart of man became more and more wicked. Yet in spite of this God offers all mankind a new heart through regeneration and calls all to love Him perfectly through Jesus Christ. God desires to rule over the will of man through love, yet the carnal nature within will not allow this. All Christians must beware of personal preference and self-love that will hinder God's perfect will. Every believer will find the way to heaven by following Jesus only, carrying the cross and dying to self in order to be filled with love through the Holy Spirit. None can make it looking to themselves or looking to others. All Christians must beware of becoming satisfied with religion, but to instead pursue entire sanctification. God calls all Christians to have a heart pure from sin, if not people will try replace their love of God with things of this world and apostasy will eventually result. Without the pursuit of perfect love religion will become hypocrisy and sensual love of various kinds will replace love for God. The result of love for God is always holiness and the drive of every Christian must be perfect love for God and the holiness that results from it. God desires to bring all regenerated believers to a pre-fall state, a state of perfect love for Him.
