What Tree Will You Eat From?

God calls us to love Him freely and perfectly. He also calls us to obey Him. This love is to be from a clear conscience and sincere faith. God gives us all the grace we need to love Him, but God does not force us to love Him that would be law and not love. Adam and Eve were commanded to obey God and to serve Him, as are all men and women. They were commanded to keep the garden and not to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. They had a choice between good and evil, between life and death. They chose death, what tree will you eat from? God made man in His image but when man turned away from Him he died, now the entire human race has fallen into the same sin. God is grieved in His heart over the sins of the human race. Christ is the only hope for mankind; He came to reconcile all things to Himself so the curse of sin would be reversed. Christ came that we could be saved from bondage to sin and into His image. Sin is rebellion against God, the only hope for fallen man is to be restored by Christ and to maintain a relationship with God by faith. Yet Satan continues to do his evil works, even disguising himself in false religion and sending delusion upon the human race. Satan is still active in keeping people from Christ and works to take down holy institutions and holy people. He even seeks to destroy the regenerated. Our faith must be proactive, lived out in obedience and aware of the devices of the Devil. Our liberty will come when we are filled with the Holy Spirit and the strong man of sin within is bound. This can only be done through the work of Christ within. He offers this salvation to all. The question is, what tree will you eat from?
