Children of God

The children of God walk in the Spirit of Christ, they know the Father hears them, they have confirmation that they are His sons. They are holy and set apart from the world. The children of God become like Him as they walk with Him. They experience God, they know God through the Holy Spirit in them which transforms them. The true penitent hears the Gospel, repents, and believes. They become humble and their old life is buried with Christ. People are made pure and stay pure by faith and live a life of love for God in obedience to His commands. The children of God understand the deep mysteries of God, yet the world does not know them. Those that do not respond to God go back into darkness. One who remains in the world cannot be illuminated if they are in the world, they remain children of the Devil. True repentance is turning from the world to Christ. One must initially and continually go on in faith or they will become blind and it will be too late. When a person hears God’s voice there must be a response, God offers to make one clean, to turn away and seek satisfaction in the flesh is madness. The soul must yield and consent as God draws it and cooperate with grace to be saved. After regeneration true Christians do not live in sin, they have been set free from sin. Before conversion one is wholly given to sin, after they are wholly given to God. Those who come to Christ, die to themselves, and follow God in obedience and faith are the children of God. Those who willfully practice sin and refuse to come to the light are the children of the Devil. Are you one of the children of God or are you still a child of the Devil?
