He Knows Our Heart

The plague of sin exists within the human heart. God will be faithful to cleanse the carnal nature when one acknowledges the plague of their own heart. We see from the life of King Solomon that he did not acknowledge the plague in his own heart and became dominated by his sin and the Kingdom was torn away from him. There must be a change! Those that refuse to repent God will eventually give up on. King David was not a perfect man, but he humbled himself and was broken over his sin. King Saul was too proud to repent, he tried to dodge God’s Word and hide in excuses instead. Christ came to set us free from sin but we must accept the revisions that He makes. A pure heart will only come through chastening. True righteousness is seated in our hearts when Jesus Christ is Lord of our hearts. Only God can do this in us by Divine Grace, He will do this as we respond positively to His grace. God will purify what is surrendered over to Him. You cannot stay the same and be a new creation! An imitation righteousness that is professed and not possessed and practiced will not benefit anyone at the Judgment Seat of Christ. God will only cleanse those who follow Him! There is no shortcut, you cannot bypass the cross! One must revolt against everything that is not of God in our lives. God uses His Word to guide this work, but will you obey His Word? Christians are called to become like Christ, to obey His commandments out of love. Beware of a hard heart that will stop this work. Hardness comes by not obeying His Word. We must obey Him above every impulse, emotion, feeling, and illumination. Continue to keep your life consecrated to God so He can continue the work of purification.
