That You May Be Filled With The Knowledge of His Will

Paul writes this epistle to reinforce the important aspects of the Christian faith. Paul writes to those who have heard the Gospel and gladly received the news of repentance and forgiveness of sins. The Gospel brings forth fruit wherever it is preached to those who receive it by faith and simplicity of heart. When someone makes a personal decision to give their lives to Jesus Christ through repentance He regenerates us and restarts us. All of the resources of Heaven are available to us! God does not make us walk according to His will. We must take the initiative. Beware of asking Him to do what He has called us to do. If you are a Christian work out what God has worked into you. Stop sitting on the fence. Do not be double minded! Do not falter between two opinions! Do not be lukewarm! We must take the initiative by engaging our wills right when the Holy Spirit points it out to our consciences. Repentance is to take a stand against something we did wrong. Everyone builds their life on something. Christians build their lives on Christ, the Rock. When a crisis comes what we have been building on comes to light. If we have been building on Christ when a crisis comes we shall stand. When the fire of God goes out a person only goes off of the memories of the past. We must never become complacent! Above all, Christians are to stand bravely. We must never forget that our Lord has already won the final victory and our part is to stand in that victory. We have a sense of duty, not cowardice. Every day we stand completely equipped with the armor of God and the nature of Christ.
