Crucified With Christ

Paul’s crucifixion is an inward and spiritual crucifixion. When one is born again they receive the Holy Spirit and the life of Christ. All the faithful are crucified with Christ through all of the ages. Once a believer is regenerated the old man should be hardly recognized, and must not reign! Those crucified with Christ have been united in the likeness of His death. Only then will one be united in the likeness of His death and the likeness of His resurrection. He who has died has been freed from sin and the old life is dead. To be crucified with Christ means to be changed. The nature of Christ entered me and changed me. The internal crucifying of a person takes place by the Word and by the Holy Spirit. God works on us from the inside and He uses His Word to circumcise the heart and He uses the Spirit to convict. To be crucified our sin is subdued and our old nature is conquered. There is no excuse a person can make to put down their cross! The cross represents how we are related to Christ, if we put down our cross our sanctification will stop! It is absurd to be His disciple without considering what the cost would be. One needs the power of the Holy Spirit to give them strength every moment of every day. Crucifixion is the agony to rid people of themselves, we must be dead so Christ can live in us! To be a Christian is to say goodbye to the old life. The old life will never be seen again. All things have become new. We must be willing to take up the cross of our own character. We must carry what we have allowed ourselves to become. The cross is a burden each day. To be crucified is to deny the whole self. Crucified with Christ.
