The Importance of Holiness By Faith
Christians must walk by faith, not by sight. Christians must learn forgiveness, faithfulness, testimony, and personal responsibility. Christians must receive holiness by faith. Repentance is the first work. True repentance is when one has a desire to have a complete change and goes on until they are changed. In Luke 17 the disciples ask Christ for more faith. God does not impute faith to us against our will; faith will grow if you remain attached to the vine. Faith must be guarded and protected and it will grow. Faith grows through obedience. A Christian must labor on patiently and bravely to grow in faith. Christ calls us to be faithful and follow Him through patience and toil. There is no rest for the faithful servant of Jesus. Also in Luke 17 is the story of the ten lepers that were cleansed. All of them needed faith to be healed, but only one returned to thank Christ. Are you like the grateful leper or the selfish lepers? We cannot enjoy the gifts and ignore the gift Giver! Only one leper showed the work of the law on His heart. He was made holy by faith. We must cultivate the grace of gratitude. Beware of being ungrateful and covetous. My Christians remain grateful to God, may we return to Jesus and thank Hi for what He has done! Going on Luke 17 Jesus speaks of His second coming. After three years of ministry to the Pharisees still refused Him. They were corrupted although they were called to be a light; today many in the Church have fallen in the same way. God desires that His people would be examples of holiness by faith! We are getting very close to the time when Jesus will come again. But will the Church obey? Do you know the importance of holiness by faith?
