That I May Know Him (by Benjamen Leahey)
God must become a tangible reality to the Christian. Knowledge of God cannot be fabricated, it is experiential and it is by faith. It is not by head knowledge. There must be a lasting change as a result. Most in the Church fall very short of the work. Experiential faith is needed! It is our opportunity in Christ to go beyond the veil, may the Protestant Church no longer forget the priesthood of all believers! The Church at large has forgotten what it means to walk in faith and holiness. May we not be satisfied with little, but may we know Him. It is a privilege to know God; it is not God’s privilege to know us. May we not forsake the old paths; we must seek and know the God of Jacob. God is calling us to know Him in His fullness, do not remain in the doorway! Come in! We must be stirred to action, we must become true speakers for God, and we must walk in holiness and righteousness. Today there is a false knowledge of God found in books and familiar religious things, but it is without faith and short sighted! May we seek to have the knowledge of the prophet! This led Moses to desire to see God face to face and see His glory. No matter how close Moses was to God he desired to know Him more! Beware of becoming comfortable, satisfied, lazy, and unwilling to move forward. Beware of pitfalls and replacements for knowing God such as works, knowledge without revelation, and trying to live by the law. We must seek God by faith! Not by works! We must know God, not religion! May our conviction to know God in a deeper way lead us to faith and not the law. We must be in consecration and faith. To know God is the pinnacle of the Christian life.
