And When They Found Him

Jesus Christ is the living bread that came down from Heaven. Since His coming there are two distinct groups of people in the world. Those who let go of themselves and put faith in Jesus Christ and those who refuse to trust God and rely on themselves instead. The Bible makes it clear that without faith it is impossible to please God and all mankind has been given the ability through grace to repent and trust Him by faith. All those who seek God with all their heart will find Him. The things of this world will not truly satisfy! Only Christ can satisfy! Only those who walk by faith and live for eternal satisfaction instead of temporary satisfaction will be truly satisfied. The New Testament records the lives of many people who asked different questions about the Truth that is in Jesus Christ. Pilate asked Jesus “What is Truth?” But he a cynical, skeptical, and compromising man. He was never willing to humble himself and trust in God by faith. He never accepted Jesus as the Living Bread and was unwilling to let go of the world and embrace Christ. Nicodemus asked Jesus, “How can a man be born when he is old?” Jesus answers by telling the Pharisee he had to exchange his life, his lineage, and his religion for the new life of the Gospel and true spiritual purification. Nicodemus was willing to believe and he humbled himself and became a follower of Jesus Christ. Mary asked the Angel, “How can this be, since I know not a man?” The question of Mary was different because she was humble, penitent, and patient. She was poor and destitute and relied on God entirely. Both Mary and Nicodemus found the answers to their questions in Jesus, Pilate never did. Have you found the Truth?
