Because I Live, You Will Live Also
Christ went to the cross to free mankind from the sins of the world. Each person must embrace the message of the cross to be saved and enter into a Covenant with God. Before this each one is dead in their trespasses and sins, but the Gospel is the power of God to raise the dead sinner to new life in Christ. Those who have been regenerated will display the life of the Son of God more and more as they grow in grace. The Holy Spirit within will cause Jesus Christ to be seen in them. The message will become visible as the Christian goes toward their own personal cross, denying themselves every step of the way. This continues as Christ is being manifest within the Christian. Christ made it clear that the Kingdom of God is within the believer, He changes us as we walk by faith in the truth, He gives the grace and the power, and He moves us toward the Kingdom! But we must follow, deny ourselves, and go through trials as He refines us and prepares us for Heaven. Few today want to hear the truth that Christians are to be sanctified. As a person goes on in obedience to God’s commandments they will be sanctified, nothing sinful will enter Heaven, and we must allow God to continue this work within. Many heresies attacked the Early Church, but none was more damaging that Constantine. He made a deal between Church leaders and the Devil. The focus of Constantine’s new Church was no longer on Jesus. Bishops took over, ceremony, ritual, the mass, and ornate buildings became the focus. People lost a true understanding of the message of the Cross, and this continues until today. It is not about the outward, it is about what Christ has done in me.
