In Him Was Life
When God created Adam and Eve they were created in His image. When Adam walked in the Garden he was thrilled to be in the presence of God and his heart mirrored the Lord with holiness. Adam was the image of God and he was given a command. It was God who decided what was right and what was wrong. As long as Adam obeyed God he was a place of devotion for the Lord, they were one in unity and purpose. But when Adam desired to be like God he sinned and Satan planted a seed in Adam and he became sin and an enemy of God. The image of God within was destroyed and he became evil and went into darkness. The only way for a person to be transformed is through Christ. It is a narrow way but it is the only way one can be restored into the image of God. Religion cannot do it, it can only be done when one enters into a relationship with God through devotion. As long as Adam and Eve remained in faith and obedience to God they were secure in His hand, but when they began to worship themselves they fell from this security and they produced after themselves their own sinful kind. All hope seemed to be lost but God was raising up a people for Himself through Abraham. And salvation would come to fallen humanity through Jesus Christ. When one worships God in sincerity and gives their mind and heart over to the Lord as a place of devotion they will have life and oneness with God. Where is our place of devotion? Only the one who does the will of the God will be saved, beware of setting up your own grounds for devotion! What are we devoted to? True religion is not external but internal through faith. This knowledge of God creates true worship and true sacrifice, without it God does not know you.
