Christianity is Progress

In the Christian life progress produces power and progress comes as Christians allow God to rule over every area of their lives. The only way someone can be transformed by God is if they desire to be changed. This change begins when one is truly born again and given hope and power through the Holy Spirit. The Spirit within the believer produces liberty and peace but it does not remove trials, for the work of sanctification is an unquenchable fire! As Christians die to sin and self they grow “from faith to faith” surrendering their heart, heads, and feet to God and His work upon the earth. The life of a Christian who is growing is an active life, not a passive life, but a life dwelling in the fire of purification. In the work of redemption God begins to restore a sinner, but they cannot stay the way that they are. A born again Christin must be restored, delivered, and made holy. Yet so many prefer to remain spiritual infants instead of being redeemed. A true Christian is saved from their former condition and live in triumph, not defeat. The Church that is saved is a victorious Church, not a defeated and crying Church! God desires for all believers to be sanctified by the Holy Spirit, free from sin, selfishness, and self-pity. God works in the life of a Christian over time. There are no shortcuts to God's Holy plan. God is concerned with the final state of each person and God did not rest from creation until He declared that it was “good.” Each Christian must allow God to clean and purify their hearts, and there are no shortcuts to this work. Each Christian must ask God to “search them” each day and continually remain humble and allow God's work to continue within.
