A Pure Love For Christ
All true Christians must walk in obedience to the Lord; it takes total commitment to follow Christ. True Christians will become more and more selfless everyday as they continue to walk in the Spirit and learn from the trials of life. Through this God transforms a Christian more and more into the image of His Son. Christianity is a restored relationship with God, but in order to enter this relationship one must come willingly to Christ. The cross is the identity of Christianity and it is a horrible form of death. The cross is Christianity, and one's relationship with God is determined by the cross. The condition of discipleship is bearing the cross. The cross calls for the death of pride and for one t live a life of sacrifice, holiness, selflessness, and sanctification. To follow Christ is to suffer and to die. The Pharisees tried to hide their wickedness with religion, but they were unwilling to take up the cross to follow Christ and allow God to change them. When people are not humble or broken by God's Word they become futile in their thoughts, they constantly disagree and debate and are unwilling to honor God but are rather opposed to Him as the Pharisees were. By doing this one becomes allied with the Anti-Christ. A true Christian has a change of character and state. They are no longer dark but are sincere and God fills them with light. There is a transformation and they become a living sacrifice. The nature of God is holy and light, and He calls each person to fellowship with Himself. To have fellowship with God is to become one with Him through redemption. Do you desire a pure love for Christ?
