Is Our God Among Us?

This sermon asks the modern Church hard questions that every Christian should ask. Is our God among us? Or has the glory of God departed? The survival of Israel depended upon obedience to the Law of Moses. The survival of the Church will depend on obedience to the Word of God. All that have lived throughout religious history can be divided into two groups: those that obey God and those that do not obey God. It is clear from God’s Word that only those that obey God and fully enter into His covenant will be saved. Each one has a choice to either make a covenant with God or not. But the only way to make a covenant with God is to come on His terms, not your own terms. We live in a time when the truth of God has been exchanged for a lie, and great delusion has come upon those inside the Church. God will not accept those that only honor Him with their mouth and deny Him with their lives. Those that are truly saved are those that believe in God, respond to the Gospel, obey God’s Word and be willing to put God first before all other things and break down all idols. Tragically the modern Church at large no longer obeys God and as a result His glory has departed. We find in Deuteronomy 32 a song that God commanded Moses to write. Within this song is both a testimony of the faithfulness of God to those that obey Him and a warning to those that will not obey Him. The modern Church has seen the faithfulness of God but has largely forsaken God and has even begun to promote sin! Is our God among us? If we desire for God to be among us we must repent of sin and obey God’s Word.
