I Will Put My Spirit In You and You Shall Live
God is speaking to the Church today as He spoke to the Children of Israel through the prophet Ezekiel when they were in captivity. The people of Israel did not take the things of God seriously and as a result they found themselves in captivity in a foreign land. They had lost sight of the fact that it does not matter where you were and where you think you are spiritually, what matters is where you currently are. They had gotten so caught up in the past they had lost sight of their current walk with God. Their sinful ways and works had wasted the opportunity to glorify God and bring honor to His Name. God blessed Israel as long as they blessed Him, but they no longer honored Him and were currently prisoners in a foreign nation. Ezekiel calls the people of Israel to turn and live just as God is calling the Church to repent today. God is calling to Church to humble themselves and walk in a relationship with God based on a true knowledge of Him, empowered by the Holy Spirit. When a person comes to know God they truly change, they don’t have to be told how to live in a way that honors God, the Holy Spirit shows them how. When one is born again it is the beginning of a life that is pleasing to God and the beginning of the process of transformation in the life of a believer. Those who refuse to be born again have no hope of restoration or salvation in Christ. It is only through the Holy Spirit that one will live. There are many who have faith, but it is only the faith of demons. True faith is faith that acts, works, and responds to God. Man is made alive by the Spirit of God and power to live in victory comes through obedience. Christ like power comes from Christ likeness.
