Be Angry But Do Not Sin
In this passage the Apostle Paul quotes a psalm of David because he, like the King of Israel, is angry because God is angry. God is angry at sin. And all who have the Holy nature of God within them are angry at sin as well. Separation from all sin is the call of the Christian, to separate from all sin that angers God. Many in the Church today are not truly regenerated and the Church has become an enabler of sin and made itself and enemy of God! If you love the world you become an enemy of God. The watchmen of today have let many enemies inside the Church in the name of tolerance. But this is the spirit of Antichrist! Sin causes God pain and Christians are called to be angry at sin. Jesus Christ had such a love for God that everyone who opposed God made Him angry, we must be angry at sin but never become sinners ourselves. A Christian must never side with sinners instead of God. Christ never showed sympathy toward sin, the world is opposed to God but the Christian is not so. The true penitent is deeply sorry for their own sin and cooperate with the grace of God. They have zeal for God and it makes them angry to see the world under the delusion of the wicked one. The world is opposed to Christ and the Christian loves Christ and must be crucified to the world! The Christian must deny ungodliness and cannot sympathize with it nor make excuses for it. Christianity is all about faith from beginning until end. The Gospel calls us out of sin and into faith and it must impact every part of the life. Sanctification results as one presses on by faith and God produces righteousness and is made more like Jesus Christ. Faith is what enables the Christian to be angry but not sin.
